How to Make Tonkatsu

Ingredients

1 egg mixed with 2 tablespoons of water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 pork tenderloin slices
enough panko to coat the pork
enough wheat flour to coat the pork
salt and pepper to taste


Directions

  1. Cut off the gristle from the pork.
  2. Add the salt and pepper.
  3. Put the egg mixture, wheat flour, and panko into their own separate bowls.
  4. Coat the pork with the flour, egg mixture, then the panko
  5. Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat.
  6. Add the pork and cook on both sides for 3 minutes.
  7. Let cool and enjoy.
